So I've managed to get all of the Yules/Anniversaries/Resurrections that I want ordered, though it has taken three different orders. :P

Yules:

Now Winter Nights Enlarge: vanilla-infused red musk, champaca, petitgrain, ylang ylang, patchouli, nutmeg, honey, galbanum, and traces of caramel

I ordered that one on a whim, full bottle unsniffed, and it has worked out wonderfully. I was a bit nervous at first because right when you open it and when it's still wet from application, the caramel is really strong and I thought it would be too foody for my taste, but as it dried, it mellowed out into a lovely musk/champaca/patchouli heavy scent.

Diable en BoƮte: redwood, bitter clove, tonka, hemp accord, and tobacco with peach blossom, black currant, and red musk

This one amuses me because it is my favorite so far of the Yules, and it ended up on my decant ordering list on accident. It's the one I've worn most so far this season and I love it.

But Men Loved Darkness Rather than Light: cistus labdanum, ginger, East Indian patchouli, pimento berry, oakmoss, saffron, smoky vanilla, sage, myrrh, and bitter clove

Yes, by this point, I am noticing a note pattern. It's nice though to see what notes I'm starting to really like.

Faunalia: The scent of a thick, starlit, unspoiled forest, with a burst of wild musk, opobalsamum, black bryony, mandragora, and hemlock

I like woodsy, forest scents. I've this, Black Forest and Yggdrasil, which are two favorite GC scents, and I can't get enough of them. I also wanted to get Gacela of the Dark Death, but I had to force myself to make a decision of one or the other, and Faunalia won because it has a bit more depth. I won't go order Gacela, I won't go order Gacela, I won't go order Gacela...

Snow Flakes: 2009: No Note Description. :(

This is the one that breaks the pattern. I ordered decants of almost every single snow note in the Yules this year, and some just didn't work on me (Snow White) and others were alright but nothing spectacular (Snow Maiden), but Snow Flakes was wonderful. I get a soft mint, sometimes a hint of vanilla, and generally, it is a delicate scent that I really like.

Anniversaries:

Copper Phoenix: Rose-infused dark amber, with sweet orange, honey, cardamom, patchouli, apricot, pink pepper, and red sandalwood.

Ordered a full bottle unsniffed just because of the rose infused dark amber note. I've only worn it once, so I can't really write much about it, but I do remember liking it a lot. I'll probably wear it again this weekend.

Iron Phoenix: Dragon's blood and dark, dense metal, black pepper, clove, red ginger, basil, and myrrh.

Ordered a full bottle unsniffed and it's not arrived yet. Can't wait to get it though :D

Lead Phoenix: tobacco absolute, hemlock, plum, cypress, styrax, olibanum, and wild lettuce.

Same as above. :P

Of the two Anniversaries, I only ordered Hod, unsniffed of course, and with only a vague notion of it having a carnation note. But people seemed to be raving about in on the forums, so I figured why not, I'll give it a try and if I don't like it, it seems popular enough that I'd be able to sell or swap it pretty easily.

And I shall save my babbling about GC scents for another day. :P
